on the anniversary of my birth and my mother's passing

What if

you were
a hummingbird,
I were
the moon?
we'd spend every hour
in love with life's croon

you'd flit over hilltops
those cliffs above seas
your wingbeats would whisper
in sweet harmonies

while beams from my inner world
sang to the sands
I'd learn of those secrets
that o'er your life spanned

we'd share lyrics
and love notes
and twisted good-byes

would that I could bend down
 to you
or you
could rise.

    1. Josh, thanks for this comment. And for being you. And encouraging me to publish the poetry book. Including this , and actually much of what I put in Out of the Ordinary was helped by your comments. So thank you so much!
